WINTER DRIVING
It just so happens that learning to drive on frozen surfaces for enhanced safety out on the road is also extremely fun. You’ll control M Power and braking in conditions you’ve likely never experienced before.
DRIFTING
We’ll introduce you to oversteering on slippery surfaces, then learning to control it as you slide around the lake. Before you know it, you’ll be drifting just like the pros.
TAXI TIME
How do our pro instructors handle the ice? They’ll gladly show you with a few laps in an M car. It’s a teaching moment that just so happens to get your heart racing.

Itinerary
Sample schedule subject to change.
Arrival: In Arvidsjaur (AJR), Sweden by 12:00pm.
Days two – four: BMW Ice Driving Experience, with lunch on the lake included
Departure: BMW Ice Driving Experience in the morning, returning to Arvidsjaur in the afternoon.
There are no refunds unless we are able to resell the student’s cancelled seat. Airfare to and from Arvidsjour, Sweden is not included.
There are no discounts allowed for this driving experience.

THE BMW M ICE TEST CENTRE
The BMW M Ice Test Centre is located on the frozen lakes around the picturesque town of Arjeplog, where our engineers test the latest BMW Group models under extreme winter conditions. You’ll be able to do some testing of your own limits right here on a carved-out track.

Four-star hotels, spa services, delicious dinners and stunning views. Safe to say that when you’re not behind the wheel, this beautiful location offers plenty of other elements to explore.
BMW ICE DRIVING EXPERIENCE AT A GLANCE
What’s the weather like for the BMW Ice Driving Experience?
It’s going to be cold, so please dress appropriately. Expect anything from -15 to 9 degrees Fahrenheit as the high. Bring good, water-resistant driving shoes that are sturdy but not so bulky you can’t feel the pedals. A Timberland®-style boot would be a good reference. Occasionally, you’ll stand outside the cars for an explanation, so please bring gloves and a beanie that can withstand the elements.
Can I bring anyone else?
Due to the limiting nature of the event and location, we don’t recommend bringing companions with you to Sweden (Munich has many sites to offer).
What is included with tuition?
Lodging, meals and driving on the lake in BMW M cars while in Arjeplog.
What is not included?
Airfare and any expenses outside Sweden.
I have never been on ice and the skid pad was a challenge while at the Performance Center.
Your car control skills will improve exponentially after some time spent on the ice. All skill levels are welcome.
How does this differ from the schools I have attended at the Performance Center in the United States?
There is a significant cancellation fee should you need to cancel. We will make every effort to sell your seat so that your tuition can be refunded; however, the closer we get to the date of an international event, the more difficult it is to sell that empty seat.
Does the BMW Performance Center offer classes at other locations?
Each year, we travel abroad to famous locations such as the Nürburgring in Germany and the Arjeplog in Sweden for BMW Ice Training.
There are two drivers per car.
What airport do we travel to in Sweden?
Arvidsjaur, Sweden (AJR).
Should I purchase special shoes or boots for this trip?
It is recommended a shoe that is better for driving as opposed to something more suitable for snow. There will be very little time that you are out of the car.
